How to Install/Update the Firmware for Mainframe/Option/Media Library

1. Download the new firmware to the SD card

Create ‘romdata’ folder on root folder and save the firmware (.fwu file) on the ‘romdata’
folder.

2. Turn the main power switch OFF.

3. Remove the SD slot cover.

4. Insert the SD card into the service slot [A: lower slot]

5. Close all doors.

Note:

DO NOT open any of the doors and DO NOT turn OFF the machine power
while updating the firmware.

If doors were falsely opened while updating the firmware for

CRB-R

and

CRB-L

, a special

procedure is required for recovery. Refer to bulletin #RD0A50007 for the recovery
procedure.

6. Turn ON the main power.

7. Wait (about 45 seconds) for the update screen to appear.

When it appears, "Please Wait" is displayed.

8. Verify that the program installation screen appears (in English).

9. Select the module requiring the update using the module selection button or the 10-

key pad.

The module selected will be highlighted, displaying [Verify] and [Update]. Depending on the
combination of the modules selected, you may not be able to select all modules together
simultaneously.
