Temporary Solution

Enter the SP mode and verify the 11-digit DEMS/DSC result codes in SP3-041-001
(DEMS) and SP3-046-001 (DSC).
Note: The result codes are displayed in the order of SSYYMMCCKKs with the code to
the left indicating the drum and code to the right indicating the development
roller for each color, and “s” indicating the state when K and S are exchanged.
If the four result codes are as in below, the machine is affected and showing the
symptom.

If affected, set the SP value(s) of the affected color(s) to “0” to disable DSC,
K : SP3-682-031
C : SP3-682-032
M : SP3-682-033
Y : SP3-682-034
S : SP3-682-035
and then, execute DEMS/DSC in #0201:02 of the Adjustment Settings for Skilled
Operators menu or in SP3-011-012.

If the results are not as in above, i.e. unaffected, do the troubleshooting procedure for
banding in general.
