[Main unit display example]
In these examples, the cumulative on-time is recorded as
109 hours and 37 minutes, and the cumulative play-time
is recorded as 56 hours and 58 minutes.
Also, following a maintenance reset, the cumulative on-
time will be displayed as 25 hours and 20 minutes, the
cumlative-play time will be displayed as 2 hours, 25 min-
utes.
2. When any other operation (e.g., pressing
the remote control unit’s PLAY button) is
performed, the cumulative play/on time
display disappears and normal operation
resumes.
Important
¶
These run-time calculations are performed based on the
CPU’s clock, with the result that accuracy may involve a
deviation of 2 %.
¶
The metered time cannot be reset to [
0
].
Setting the internal clock
The DVD-V8000 is equipped with an internal clock allowing
the use of timer functions to perform automatic playback/
stop.
Setting of the internal clock is performed by the [
WEEKLY
TIMER
] item on the
ADV. SETUP
menu. For details, see page
57, “
WEEKLY TIMER Setting
”.
Important
¶
The internal clock has a deviation within approximately
2 minutes per month (depending on environmental con-
ditions).
¶
The internal clock function operates by a large-volume
capacitor. So long as the power cord is connected to a
power outlet, the clock function will operate, even when
in standby mode. If the power cord is disconnected,
the clock function will continue to operate for 7 to 10
days (when fully charged, at 25 °C).
¶
WEEKLY TIMER setting data is preserved even if the
power cord is disconnected for an extended period of
time, regardless of the clock setting.
Returning main unit settings
to default values
The main unit settings can be returned to their factory de-
faults in the following way:
1. Set the player to standby mode.
2. While depressing the SCAN/STEP
1 4
button, press the STANDBY/ON button;
power will turn ON and all settings will
be reset to their factory default values.
Note
¶
Previously input Command Stack and play/power on time
data are not deleted even when settings are returned to
their default values.
