2.13. GOTO DVD-MENU
Determines whether “return to menu” button is displayed
onscreen during DVD playback.
OFF (default)
“Return to menu” button is not displayed.
LEFT
During DVD playback, the “return to menu” button is dis-
played at lower left side of screen.
RIGHT
During DVD playback, the “return to menu” button is dis-
played at lower right side of screen.
BOTH
During DVD playback, the “return to menu” button is dis-
played on both sides at bottom of screen.
2.14. MOUSE CURSOR
Select whether mouse cursor is displayed or not.
ON (default)
Mouse cursor is displayed.
OFF
Mouse cursor is not displayed. However, during use of video
blackboard function, mouse cursor is displayed even if this
setting is OFF.
2.15. EXTEND TERMINAL
Use to set
EXTEND TERMINAL
button functions.
Standard (default)
The unit responds according to standard presets.
User
The user can set the function enabled by the
EXTEND TER-
MINAL
button.
Press
ENTER
to display the next menu and set the function
as desired. See “

2.16. SYNC OUT (DURING SQ)
SYNC OUT is used to set whether a video signal is produced
when the player is not outputting its own video signal.
OFF (default)
Video is output constantly; sync signal does not turn off. Dur-
ing stop mode, blue or black background is displayed.
ON
Video is not output except during playback and when display-
ing menu screens (sync signal is also not produced). How-
ever, when an external input signal is being output (for exam-
ple, by means of the
PASS THROUGH
button or other com-
mands), that signal will continue to be produced.
2.17. EXTERNAL SYNC
OFF (default)
Unit is not synchronized to external sync signal.
NTSC
Set this when inputting an NTSC signal as external sync sig-
nal for synchronized playback.
PAL
Set this when inputting a PAL signal as external sync signal
for synchronized playback. See “

2.18. MONITOR OSD
OFF
Monitor OSD is not superimposed on
MONITOR VIDEO OUT
connector output.
BOTTOM (default)
The monitor OSD is superimposed on the bottom half of the
output from the
MONITOR VIDEO OUTPUT
connector.
TOP
The monitor OSD is superimposed on the top half of the out-
put from the
MONITOR VIDEO OUTPUT
connector.
2.19. AUTO PASS THROUGH
OFF (default)
Automatic switching of video/audio output is not performed
when starting/stopping playback.
ON
Selector is automatically switched to main unit video/audio
during DVD playback, and to external input video/audio when
playback is stopped.
This setting does not disable switching performed using the
main unit’s
PASS THROUGH
button or commands.
This function controls automatic switching at transitions from
STOP to PLAYBACK and from PLAYBACK to STOP; after those
transitions, however, it is possible to use buttons and com-
mands to perform other switching as well.
2.20. PLAY START MODE
Use to set the function of the main unit’s
PLAY/PAUSE
but-
ton and the remote control unit's
PLAY
button.
Title1 (default)
When player is stopped, pressing the
PLAY/PAUSE
or
PLAY
button causes playback to start from the beginning of Title1.
TOP MENU
When player is stopped, pressing the
PLAY/PAUSE
or
PLAY
button causes the disc’s top menu to be displayed. If no top
menu is present on the disc, playback starts from the begin-
ning of Title1.

Use this function to load main unit setting files from USB
