C. Measuring values:
The rated measuring range of the flow meter, e.g. 2 ‐ 80 m³/h will be measured by linear measuring
signal 0 ‐ 20 mA. This means: 1 mA = 4 m³/h.
The correct function of the transducer can be checked by measuring the voltage across Pin 19 and
20 of the VCU.
During maximum flow, in this example 80 m³/h, the voltage drops from 24 V to approx. 17 V. At the
same time the voltage between earth and Pin 20 goes up by the same amount.

The value arrived at in C. above, in this example 4m³/h per mA, will be typed in the "Scale" entry
field for S5 in the "External VCU interface" dialog box.
Offset ‐ 999.9 to 999.9
This is a correction value affecting only the Scale factor for the analogue and frequency inputs.
The correction value will be either deducted from or added to the Scale factor entered.
The corrected scale factor is then used for the calculations.
The following error messages can be encountered with:
Code: 002 ‐ xxx below limit (the value is too low)
Code: 003 ‐ xxx above limit (the value is too high)
Code: 005 ‐ xxx is not valid input (invalid value entered)
The above data is specified during installation. Do not change any data
without discussing it first with the installer of the irrigation system.
