— PCL Defaults tab
The PCL Defaults tab allows the user to set the default PCL
features in the selected printer. Print driver commands take
precedence over these default settings. Default fonts are
referenced to printer internal fonts.
- Font Number
Selects the default font by specifying the ID number (0 -
50). The factory default is “0”.
- Font Symbol Set
Selects the symbol set for the default printer font. The
factory default is “PC-8”.
- Point Size
Specifies the point size for a default scalable,
proportional font (4.00-999.75) in steps of 0.25. The
factory default is “12”.
Note: only available for scalable proportional fonts.
- Pitch Size
Specifies the pitch size for a default scalable, fixed space
font (0.44-99.99) in steps of 0.01. The factory default is
“10”.
Note: only available for scalable fixed space fonts.
- Orientation
This allows the user to set the orientation of the printed
page to Portrait/Landscape.
- Form Length
Specifies the number of lines to be printed per page
(5-128). The factory default is “60” for USA and “64”
for Europe.
- Line Termination
Select this to enable adding a Carriage Return after every
Line Feed appearing in the PCL text. This can be helpful
with applications that do not automatically include
Carriage Returns.
