6.3 Precautions for Installation of GP-1070 and Disposal of HDD/ Board
6.3.1
Precautions for Installation of GP-1070
When installing the Data Overwrite Enabler (GP-1070), perform the following setting:
3C->6. Erase HDD Securely : HDD securely erasing
This setting is the overwriting method complying with DoD 5220.22-M.
1: LOW:
This is the normal overwriting method. (This setting is used normally.)
2: MEDIUM: This overwriting method is more secure than LOW. The erasing time is between
LOW and HIGH.
3: HIGH:
This is the most secure overwriting method. It takes the longest time to erase data
4:SIMPLE: This is the simple overwriting method. It takes the shortest time to erase data.

Precautions when disposing of HDD

When disposing of ADI-HDD, perform the following setting:

When disposing of SATA-HDD, perform the following setting:

When disposing of the SYS board, data clearing is not required since important data, such as
user information, etc. are stored in the SRAM board.

Precautions when disposing of the SRAM board (for SYS board)
When disposing of the SRAM board (for SYS board), perform 3C
→
7:Erase SRAM Securely
(SRAM securely erasing) for security reasons.
Notes:
If this is performed, the equipment cannot be started up.
