10 Preventive Maintenance 10. Preventive Maintenance
No routine maintenance on the EX series is required, aside from periodic cleaning of the unit
when needed :
▌Once a unit is removed from service, vacuum all air vents, including the front panel grill.
Clean the exterior with a mild solution of detergent and water. Apply the solution onto a soft
cloth not directly to the surface of the unit To prevent damage to materials do not use cloth, not directly to the surface of the unit. To prevent damage to materials, do not use
aromatic hydrocarbons or chlorinated solvents for cleaning.
▌Low pressure compressed air may be used to remove dust from in and around components
on the printed curcuit boards.
WARNING
The OFF position of the power switch does not removed voltage from the input
terminal blocks. Remove all external power before performing any service.
An annual inspection of the EX sereis unit is recommended. Below table lists the visual inspection
checks to be performed, and the corrective action to be taken.

For safe and continued operation of the EX series, always operate the unit in a
temperature and humidity controlled, indoor area, free of conductive contaminants.
Remember to keep the rear and sides of the unit free of obstructions to ensure
proper ventilation.
