Area Designation (General Flow of Setting/Cancelation)

Designate an area.
For the method of Area Designation, see “Designating Areas,”
on p. 3-8. The different types of Area Designations are shown
below.

If the C key is pressed, the screen returns to the display in step
2.

Multiple Area Designations for the same type of editing function
are designated consecutively before pressing the OK key.
P
Areas or lines can be checked on the screen while in the process
of being designated.

Specify the area editing.
For details on how to designate Area Editing areas, see
“Designating Areas,” on p. 3-8.
Copies only the image inside the area.
Blanks the image inside the area when making
copies.
Multiple

Makes copies using different copy settings inside
and outside the area. The copy settings that can
be specified are:

If the C key is pressed while setting a mode, the setting is
canceled and the previous display returns.
P
After a mode is set, the
(Start) key can be pressed to make a
copy before pressing the OK key. After the copy job is completed,
the display before the
(Start) key was pressed returns. This makes
it easy for you to check the effect of settings, before actually setting
them.
P
Multiple copy settings can be specified for one area; however,
some copy settings can not be combined. Keys which can not be
selected are dimmed in the display.

Press the
OK
key.
You can continue specifying other area editing by repeating
steps 3 and 4.
A maximum of 30 area editing can be specified.

Press the
OK
key.
The Area Designation settings are complete, and the screen
returns to the standard display.

If the
AREA DESIGNATION
key is pressed, modes can be
added or changed.
