Character Composition (Combining Characters from a Black-and-White Original with a Color Original)

3. Press the FRAMING key or the BLANKING key.

FRAMING :

Scans only the region inside the specified area.

BLANKING :

Scans the original, blanking the region inside the
area.

4. Use the edit pen to designate two of the opposing corners of the

area.

5. Press the OK key.

Adjusting the scan setting

1. Press the SCAN ADJUSTMENT key.

2 Press the

key or the

key to adjust the image quality, and then

press the OK key.

Place the black-and-white character original on the
platen glass.

Align the original with the V mark on the platen glass. If an area was
designated, be careful not to change the top-bottom orientation of the
original when turning it face down.
