button in the Scan dialog opens the Gamma Curve
Editor dialog.
Loading the Factory Default Gamma Curves
If you have sent custom gamma curves to the scanner during a scanning session,
the active gamma curves were overwritten. To reload the default gamma curves back
into the Gamma Curve Editor dialog, simply click the
S
CANNER
G
AMMA
button.
If the Option key (Macintosh) or Control key (Windows) is held down while the
S
CANNER
G
AMMA
button is clicked, as shown in Figure 16.7a for Macintosh and Figure
16.7b for Windows, all three (R,G,B) curves will be read from the scanner. Similarly, if
the Master curve is active when the
S
CANNER
G
AMMA
button is clicked, all of the curves
will be read from the scanner.

Loading Custom Gamma Curves (Macintosh only)
Custom gamma curves created in your imaging application can be loaded by
clicking on the L
OAD
button in the Gamma Curve Editor dialog. Once clicked, a file
dialog will be presented prompting you for the location and name of the desired gamma
file, as shown in Figure 16.8.
