Put an appropriate quantity of sample on the sample boat.

Push the inlet knob to set the sample in the sample cracking furnace. 

To close the inlet, check if the “

” markings on the inlet cover and inlet knob 

are aligned, and turn the inlet knob clockwise while pushing lightly.
