(5) 

Make the V1 and V2 opening check. 

Open  only  one  of  the  valves  V1  and  V2,  and  make  sure  whether  the  flow  rate 

decreases or not. 

If the flow rate decreases, some component between the outlet of the valve V1 or 

V2 and the drain bottle may be clogged. 

When there is no abnormality in the path, valve replacement is necessary.

Make the V3 opening check. 

Switch the valve V3 to the humidification path, and check the bubbling visually. 

 

 

If the bubbling is not carried out, there may be a leak from the humidification bottle 

to the inlet to the sample heating tube to the mercury collector tube to the cell to the 

inlet of the valve V1 or V2. 

Check the path and retighten the Teflon joint. 

* If the joint is retightened too much, it will be damaged. Turn it lightly by hand as far 

as it goes, and then retighten it by 1/6 to 1/4 turn.
