5.5 Vacuum pump

•

Engine oil flows through the oil pas-
sages in the front case to the vacuum
pump.

•

The oil in the pump lubricates the
vanes, and then is discharged into the
front case from the air discharge port
of the vacuum pump along with air,
and returns to the oil pan.

5.6 Turbocharger

•

Engine oil is fed to the bearing hous-
ing from the main oil gallery through
the oil pipe to lubricate the inside of
the turbocharger.

•

The piston rings, which are installed
on both sides of the turbine wheel
shaft, serve as oil seals.
