Functions and Operations
External Control Input Signals, Error Output Signals, Light Level Low Display
This equipment can be controlled externally using various input signals.
External Control Input Signals
These function by shorting with COM (terminal No. 5).
Terminal
No.
Signal
Operation
1
A/Z (pulse)
This operation activates the auto-zero function to reset the reading
to [0] if the value displayed on the torque display is 10% or less of
the maximum value. [A/Z] also lights up on the status display. (The
operation is the same as for pressing the key in Section 3-2.) For
further details of the operation, refer to Section 5-4.
2
A/Z OFF (pulse)
Operates the auto-zero cancel function only when the auto-zero
function is operating, setting the torque reading to the current
torque and clearing [A/Z] on the status display.
3
LOCK (level)
All key inputs are locked (prohibited) while this signal is input, and
[LOCK] lights up on the status display.
4
Rotation POL.
(level)
This signal is enabled when [Measure with one rotation detector,
detect rotation direction using external input signal] is set for F-24.
The rotation direction is reversed while this signal is input.
5
COM
The common for input/output terminals (terminals 1 to 4 and 6 to
9).
6
ERROR IN (pulse)
This signal cancels the error when an error occurs in the
equipment. (The operation is the same as for pressing the key in
Section 3-8.)
8
SEL.1 (level)
Selects calibration data.
Four types of calibration data can be selected using external input
when parameter F-59 is zero.
For further details of operation, refer to Section 9-2-6.
9
SEL.2 (level)
Error Output Signal
Terminal
No.
Signal
Operation
7
ERROR OUT
Turns on when an error occurs.
5
COM
The common for input/output terminals (terminals 1 to 4 and 6 to
9).
* Errors refer to the errors described in Section 12-2 Error Display and light level status errors.
The A/Z, A/Z OFF, and cancel inputs are operated after shorting for at least approximately
100 ms. (Once only)
The LOCK, Rotation POL, SEL. 1, and SEL. 2 inputs are enabled during input after shorting
for at least approximately 100 ms.
If F-26 is set to 1, the A/Z function will be retained even when the OPT-564 power is turned
off and then back on.
