Notes:
Replacing W iper Blade Insert
For safety reasons, remove key
from steering lock before replacing
a w iper blade, otherw ise the w iper
m otor can suddenly turn on and
cause injury.
Removal:
Fold w iper arm forward. Tilt w iper
blade downward. Press safety
tab (1), push w iper blade dow n­
ward (2) and remove.
Place w iper blade on firm support.
Press down both tabs with a screw
driver and slide (direction of arrow)
the w iper blade insert out of the
retainer claws.

Installation:
Slide (direction of arrow) w iper
blade insert into retainer claw s until
tabs are engaged.
Slide w ipe r blade into end of w iper
arm until it locks in place.
The w ipe r w ith a ir spoiler should be
m ounted on the driver’s side.
Do not open engine hood with
w iper arm folded forward.
Do not allow the w iper arm s to
contact the w indshield glass
w ithout a w iper blade inserted. The
glass may be scratched or broken.
Make certain that the w iper blade
is properly installed. An im properly
installed w iper blade may cause
w indshield dam age.
