5. Horizontal headlam p aim
(Low beam s on):
Turn adjusting screw (1)
(counterclockwise to adjust to
the left, clockw ise to the right)
until the headlam ps (low beam)
illuminate the test screen as
shown. The vertex of the angle
formed in each beam image
should align with the vertical
centerline (11) of each lamp.
The left and right headlam ps
must be adjusted individually.
6. For proper aim, the indicator (4)
in the sight glass should align
with the “0” m ark after any hori­
zontal adjustm ent. If it does not,
slide the “0 ” on the scale (5) un­
til it aligns with the indicator (4).
G raduations: 0.38° pitch.
Note:
If it is not possible to obtain a
proper headlam p adjustm ent, have
the system checked at your autho­
rized M ercedes-Benz dealer.
Side M arker Lam p, Front
(5 W /4 cp bulb)
C arefully slide lam p tow ards front
(arrow), and rem ove back end first
from bumper.
Turn bulb socket with bulb
counterclockw ise and pull out.
Push bulb into socket, turn
counterclockw ise and remove.
Insert new bulb in socket, push in
and tw ist clockw ise. Insert bulb
socket with bulb in lamp and tw ist
clockw ise.
To reinstall lam p, set back end of
lam p into bum per and let front end
snap into place.
