With the key in steering lock posi­
tion 2, the brake w arning lamp will
com e on. It should go out w hen the
engine is running.
The brake warning lamp will com e
on:
• when there is insufficient brake
fluid in the reservoir (engine
running and parking brake
released), or
• when the parking brake is set
(engine running).
Brake Warning Lamp
If you find that the m inim um mark
on the brake fluid reservoir is
reached, have the brake system
checked for brake pad thickness
and leaks.

Driving with the brake w arning
lam p illum inated can result in
an accident. H ave your brake
system checked im m ediately if
the brake w arning lamp stays
on. D on’t add brake fluid
before checking the brake
system . O verfilling the brake
fluid reservoir can result in
spilling brake fluid on hot
engine parts and the brake
fluid catching fire. You can be
seriously burned.
