Defogging W indow s
W indow s fogged up on inside.
Switch off econom y m o d e | 3 .
Indicator lamp goes out.
Switch off air recirculation .

Set a ir distribution control switch to
position E 9 ■
Increase air volum e with control
switch.
Close center and right side air
outlets B S I .
Turn defroster outlets fo r side
windows to the detent position.
W indshield fogged up on
outside.
Switch on w indshield wipers.
Set air distributio n co ntrol switch

Econom y
The function of this setting
corresponds to the air conditioning
mode. However, because the air
conditioning com pressor will not
engage (fuel savings), it is not
possible to air condition in this
setting.
Press 1351 button to activate.
Press button once again to
return to previous setting.
C lim ate C ontrol - OFF
To switch the clim ate control off,
set air volum e control switch to
position
0
.
The fresh air supply to the car
interior is shut off.
W hile driving, use this setting only
tem porarily, otherw ise the w ind ­
shield could fog up.
R ear W in do w D efroster
Turn key in steering lock to
position 2.
To select, press in a j button.
To cancel, press Ir tg button again.
Note:
Heavy accum ulation o f snow and
ice should be rem oved before
activating the defroster.
The rear w indow defroster uses a
large am ount of power. To keep
the battery drain to a m inimum,
turn off the defroster as soon as
the w indow is clear.
The defroster is autom atically
turned off after a m axim um of
12 m inutes of operation.
If several pow er consum ers are
turned on sim ultaneously, or the
battery is only partially charged, it
is possible that the defroster will
autom atically turn itself off. When
this happens, the indicator lamp
inside the sw itch starts blinking.
As soon as the battery has suffi­
cient voltage, the defroster auto­
m atically turns itself back on.
