The corner flaps of the rear shelf
partially cover the rear window.
This prevents the w indow from
being fully cleaned with the hardtop
closed.
Important!
Do not m anually m ove corner flaps
of rear shelf. Doing so will result in
dam age to the roof folding m echa­
nism that is not covered by the
M ercedes-Benz Limited W arranty.
Rear Window Cleaning
Prior to cleaning the inside of the
rear w indow , operate hardtop via
the switch until rear shelf (1) is in a
vertical position. Leave key in
steering lock position 2.
The roof will remain in this position
for approxim ately 7 m inutes, su ffi­
cient tim e for cleaning the inside of
the rear window.
If a w arning sounds and the
indicator lam p in the hardtop
sw itch blinks, im m ediately
stop cleaning and m ove back
from w indow to prevent
possible injury.
The hardtop is lowered into its
storage com partm ent.
Warning!
Renewed m om entary operation of
hardtop switch extends the tim e by
a nother 7 m inutes.
