6.3 COMMAND
SUMMARY
This paragraph provides a listing of the IEEE-488 and Serial Interface Commands. A summary of all the commands is
provided in Table 6-6. All the commands are detailed in Paragraph 6.3.1, which is presented in alphabetical order.

NOTE:
Any number being represented in scientific notation may also be entered as a string of number characters.
If the number is only represented as a string of number characters, it cannot be entered in scientific
notation. The following example shows two different ways of sending the same command. Refer to the
individual command descriptions for further details.
SETP 2.0E+03[term]
Command will set the temperature control setpoint value to 2000.
SETP 2000[term]
Command will set the temperature control setpoint value to 2000.
NOTE:
If there is no scanner attached, all <channel> parameter values must be entered as ‘1’.
