6 - WORKING OPERATIONS

Adjustments of the belt unit - Collector III unit (if equipped)

The belt is operated and adjusted from the factory to run
correctly without load from the crop. As the belt is made of
an elastic material, when you operate in the field the first
time, the belt may stretch a little when loaded with crop.

NOTE:

When you start to operate in the field, check the

belt after the first couple of rounds and perform the nec-
essary re-adjustments until the belt runs correctly.

NOTICE:

If the belt runs hard against the front or back

plate, the belt will get damaged within a short time.

We therefore recommend you to check the belt every day.

Lateral adjustment of the belt unit

Adjust the belt unit on the frame that fixes the Collector III
unit in relation to the wheel frame of the implement.

Adjust the belt unit laterally to obtain optimal placing of
the crop that is thrown from the belt toward the realized
windrow. Adjust the belt unit to approximately

220 mm

(

).

To adjust laterally the belt unit, proceed as follows:

1. Loosen the 12 bolts that hold the brackets

2. Displace the belt unit

3. Tighten the 12 bolts when the belt unit is in the desired

position.

NOTE:

The implement with the Collector III unit can ex-

ceed the maximum transport width when adjusted to the
side.

Height adjustment of the belt unit

It is possible to adjust the belt unit at three various heights
in comparison with the bearing frame on the wheel frame.
The spindles

connects the belt unit and the frame of

the Collector III unit.

Both spindles are delivered from the factory with a center
distance X of

340 mm

(

13.39 in

) from hole to hole. The

function of the spindles is to connect the belt unit of the
Collector III unit with the frame and to compensate for the
oblique angle between these by means of the ball joint of
the spindles.

NOTE:

Do not change the length of the spindles as it might

result in the belt unit not able to pass by the outlet system
of the header when the Collector III unit is lifted or lowered.

From the factory the belt unit is in the middle step, which
can be used under most conditions. In the middle position
the belt unit is fixed to the frame with four bolts placed in
the holes
