Hydraulic connections

WARNING

Escaping fluid!
Hydraulic fluid or diesel fuel leaking under
pressure can penetrate the skin and cause
infection or other injury. To prevent personal
injury:

Relieve all pressure before discon-

necting fluid lines or performing work on the
hydraulic system. Before applying pressure,
make sure all connections are tight and all
components are in good condition. Never use
your hand to check for suspected leaks under
pressure. Use a piece of cardboard or wood
for this purpose. If injured by leaking fluid,
see your doctor immediately.
Failure to comply could result in death or se-
rious injury.

NOTE:

Check the tractor operator’s manual for instruc-

tions on which outlet you must use for single-acting cylin-
ders.

NOTICE:

The hydraulic relief valve pressure on the tractor

must not exceed

207 bar

(

3000 psi

), or implement dam-

age may occur. The implement requires a minimum pres-
sure of

103 bar

(

1500 psi

) to operate the lift cylinders.

To connect the hydraulic hoses, proceed as follows:

1. Make sure that the couplers on the hydraulic hoses

match the hydraulic outlets on the tractor.

2. Attach the pressure hose

(1)

and return hose

(2)

for

the double-acting tongue swing cylinder to the remote
outlets of one tractor control valve.

NOTE:

If the tractor valve is adjustable, set the tractor

valve for slow hydraulic flow.

3. Attach the single lift cylinder hose

(3)

to a remote outlet

from the second control valve. Connect the lift cylinder
hose so the implement will raise when the hydraulic
valve pulls back in the opposite direction of the float
position.
