6 - WORKING OPERATIONS
The implement is a trailed mower-conditioner where the
header
(7)
is suspended in the trail frame
(4)
with wheels
(1)
that are in contact with the ground. At the front left-
hand side of the trail frame there is the suspended tongue
(5)
. At the front of the tongue there is the swivel gearbox
which allows the tractor to turn sharply in relation to the
implement without overloading the transmission.
The tractor transmits the power to the implement through
the Power Take Off (PTO) drive shafts. The secondary
PTO shaft
(6)
between the tongue and the implement
is as standard equipped with a wide angle joint which
means that the implement can work at full speed although
the tongue is moved toward the middle of the implement
(transport position).
The design of the implement allows you to easily avoid
obstacles in the field. You can raise the implement for
transport or for headland turning and lower the implement
to the working position with the hydraulic lift cylinders.
At the front of the header there is the cutter bar
(8)
. The
cutter bar cuts the crop and throws the crop toward the
conditioner system
(3)
. The conditioner system is just be-
hind the cutter bar. The conditioner system catches, lifts
and throws the material out of the rear of the implement.
The windrow-forming shields
(2)
gather the crop material
in a regular windrow that is deposited behind the imple-
ment.
When you raise the implement at the headland, a cable
system
(9)
ensures that the header is lifted higher than
the trail frame. This system raises the header high above
the cut crop while the implement maintains low center of
gravity. This ensures the maximum stability of the imple-
ment during normal operation and during headland turns
at high speed.
The high lift of the header also gives a high ground clear-
ance that allows you to pass over previously cut windrows
on the headland. In the raised position, the majority of the
weight of the header is carried by the cables instead of the
flotation springs
(10)
. This allows for a safe and stable im-
plement, especially during road transport.
