7 - MAINTENANCE

Replacement of discs

DANGER

Moving parts!
Install all covers, panels, and guards after servicing or cleaning the machine. Never operate the ma-
chine with covers, panels, or guards removed.
Failure to comply will result in death or serious injury.

To change the disc, proceed as follows:

1. Remove the two bolts

. Remove the cover

2. Remove the four bolts

(1)

.

NOTE:

Input and output discs do not use any cover, so all

six bolts

(1)

and

(3)

are identical.

After the replacement of blades and blade bolts, check the
correct installation of the blades and that all discs have the
correct number of blades.

3. Install the new disc with the four bolts

(1)

. Make sure

that you install the discs at

90°

to the adjacent disc.

NOTICE:

Install the discs, and always respect an angle

(A)

equal to

90°

staggered in relation to each other. Failure to

properly time the new disc will result in collisions between
knife blades and potential cutter bar damage.

4. Torque the four

(1)

bolts to

48 N·m

(

35 lb ft

).

5. Install the cover

(2)

onto the new disc and secure with

the two hex socket bolts

(3)

.

6. Torque the two bolts to

48 N·m

(

35 lb ft

).

After you have complete the installation, turn the discs
by hand for minimum one complete revolution to check
for mechanical interference.
