Bleeding air from the lift cylinders
WARNING
Unexpected machine movement!
Air in the system or a high hydraulic flow rate
can cause erratic operation. Before you swing
the tongue, clear the area of all bystanders and
obstructions.
Failure to comply could result in death or se-
rious injury.

Upon initial header lift circuit operation, activate the hy-
draulic remote valve to fully extend the lift cylinders. If
there is still air in the hydraulic system, the implement will
lift unevenly. Cycle the lift cylinder several times to bleed
all air from the hydraulic system.
Electrical connections
Attach the wiring harness connector for the implement
lights to the tractor lighting socket. The wiring harness has
a seven-way plug that conforms to the
SAE J560 stan-
dard.

Make sure that the frame components do not pinch the
hydraulic hoses or the wiring harness:
1. Lower the cutter bar canvas shields before you move
the implement.
NOTICE: Failure to lower the cutter bar canvas shields
may result in implement damage.
2. Rotate the handle for the valve (1) to unlock the tongue
swing cylinder.
NOTE: Figure 2 shows the valve in the unlocked posi-
tion where the valve handle is in-line with the hose.
3. Maneuver the tractor through both a hard left-hand
side turn and a hard right-hand side turn.
4. Swing the tongue fully to both the left-hand side and
to the right-hand side while you raise and lower the
header.
