Front swivel gearbox - oil check
NOTICE:
Before you check the oil level, always clean the
area around the gearbox to prevent contamination of the
gear oil.
The front swivel gearbox assembly consists of an up-
per gearbox and a lower gearbox that are connected
together. Check each gearbox oil level separately ev-
ery day before you operate the implement in the field.
Use
SAE 80W-90
to maintain the oil level. The oil ca-
pacity of the front swivel gearbox is approximately:
○ Upper gearbox:
1.2 L
(
0.3 US gal
)
○ Lower gearbox:
2.2 L
(
0.6 US gal
)
To check the oil level, proceed as follows:
Upper-half swivel gearbox:
1.
Remove the oil level check plug

2.
Make sure that the oil level is up to the oil level
check plug hole.
3.
If you need to add additional oil to the gearbox, see

4.
Install the oil level check plug in the oil level check
plug hole.
