You must be equipped with a standard
set of tools. This tool set must comprise the normal tools for mechanical tasks, such as
different screwdriver types, pliers, adjustable spanners and wrenches. Each tool must
be provided in various sizes. We recommend that all tools are demagnetized to protect
your equipment. Depending on the tasks at hand, additional tools may be required.
Observe the relevant rules and regulations related to welding. The quality of the welding
is critical to the safety of the vessel. Welding must only be done by a certified welder.

Context

The sealing plate can be purchased from Kongsberg Maritime, or you can manufacture
it yourself based on the production drawings available.

Make sure that you mount the sealing plate in the correct way. The cables with the
cable gland kit (packing nut, rubber gasket and washers) shall be inserted from below
(the "wet side").

WARNING

Verify that all welding has been finished before the transducer cables are pulled
through the sealing plate. Once the cables have been installed, any welding on
the sealing plate and/or the steel conduit may damage the cables beyond repair.
