Connecting the Operating Panel Power Supply to the
Processor Unit

A small commercial power supply is used to provide stand-by power to the SN90
Operating Panel. The output from the Operating Panel Power Supply is connected to the
rear side of the Processor Unit.

Prerequisites

You must be equipped with a
standard set of tools. This tool set
must comprise the normal tools for
cable installation, such as different
screwdriver types, pliers, a cable
stripper and a soldering iron. Each
tool must be provided in various
sizes. We recommend that all tools
are demagnetized to protect your
equipment. Depending on the tasks
at hand, additional tools may be
required.

Context

The supply power to the Operating Panel is provided by a small power supply. The
power supply is a commercial item. It is provided with the Processor Unit. The
mains voltage for the Operating Panel Power Supply is 115 or 230 VAC, and it will
automatically sense the current supply voltage.

The power supply is connected to a dedicated socket on the rear side of the Processor
Unit.

If the pre-mounted AC mains connector on the cable does not fit, replace it with a
suitable connector.

Procedure

1

Secure the Operating Panel Power Supply unit in a stable position.

2

Connect the power supply to the AC mains using the cable provided.

3

Insert the DC plug into the socket (identified with the arrow) on the appropriate
circuit board on the rear side of the Processor Unit.

4

Secure the cables to prevent them from accidentally disconnecting during heavy
seas.
