18. Installation
The JUICE CHARGER me 3 may only be installed and
commissioned by electrically skilled persons. Install the
JUICE CHARGER me 3 in accordance with the attached
Installation Guide. Always disconnect the power supply
before beginning with installation work.
Protection
It absolutely essential that a residual current device and a
line circuit breaker be installed upstream of the device.
The line circuit breaker must be dimensioned in accord-
ance with the charging device’s rating plate, the desired
charging power and the given power feeder line (line
length and cross-sectional area) in compliance with the
applicable national regulations. One line circuit breaker is
needed for each charging point.
Mount the device
•
The device can be installed indoors and outdoors.
•
Mount the device only on flat surfaces.
•
Implement suitable measures to smooth any uneven
surfaces.
Holes for the mounting screws shall be located and drilled
based on the drilling template in cluded with the scope of
supply. Drill the holes in the wall to the diameter specified
for the selected mounting materials. Attach the provided
plug holder at a height between 70 cm and 170 cm above
the ground.
Route the power supply cable into the device through
one of the two cable entry holes provided for this
purpose (from either below or behind the device).

Internet
Connect the JUICE CHARGER me 3 to the Internet via
LAN (RJ45) to be able to use functions such as load
management. Pull the cable through the smaller hole of
the selected cable feed (3a and 3b of the installation in
-
structions) and crimp on a LAN plug or socket. Then plug
the LAN cable into the JUICE CHARGE CONTROLLER,
using an additional short LAN cable if necessary.
Load shedding
Connect the potential-free switching contacts of the
ripple control receiver to the yellow and red terminals ac-
cording to point 5 of the separate installation instructions.
