Nova Operating Principles

Eclipse User Guide

Returning to the Main Mix Display

Warning

The selected channel (

SEL

) buttons are used to make

selections within the current display. So, for example, with the

PATCH IN

grid open, you can press

SEL

on a fader strip to

quickly select the input channel you wish to patch.

This means that when you are viewing displays other than the
Main Mix, you will have limited control over your mix – the
Selected Channel controls (EQ, Dynamics, etc.) are locked; you
cannot make bus routing assignments, etc.

For this reason you should

always

return to the Main Mix

display to continue mixing. You can use any of the following
methods to cancel an active display:

1.

Press

CANCEL

(to the left of the trackball).

2.

Turn off the display button – for example, turn off

PATCH In

.

3.

Press [

ESC

] on the console keyboard.

4.

Using the trackball, click on the

X

at the top right of the

display:
