Eclipse User Guide

Multitrack Return Monitoring

If you are using mix busses to feed the tracks of a multitrack
recorder, you can use this function to automatically send a
multitrack return to the monitor bus when the corresponding
output channel (e.g. a Matrix output) is selected. This allows
you to monitor the multitrack returns without having to patch
them to separate input channels.

This function is configured from the

MONITORING

preferences

window:

1.

To turn on the option, tick the

Send input to monitoring

box.

From now on, whenever an Output channel is selected (

SEL

active), if there is a return input configured for it, then the input
will be sent to the monitor bus.

2.

To configure the multitrack return inputs, click on

GRID

to open the

LINK SELECT ON MONITORING

display:

In our example, returns have been configured for 16 Matrix
outputs:
