Why do some of the ink files in the navigation panel appear with
their full path names, while others do not?
Ink Files that are in the default location (My Ink Files) are listed in
the navigation panel first, with just the file name (restricted to 16
characters). Ink Files that are located elsewhere on your computer
(Other Ink Files) appear with their full path names.
When I change my system clock, how do I synchronize the clock
on the digital notepad so that the time stamps are correct?
The digital notepad clock is synchronized automatically (if it is
turned on) when you change the computer clock. Simply wait a
few seconds for the change to transfer to the digital notepad
before you use it.
If you want to check the time stamp clock on the digital notepad,
open ThinkScribe Notepad Properties to the Inking tab. If
needed, click the Ink Timestamp button to synchronize the digital
notepad with the computer clock. Note: If you change the system
clock past 2049, you might experience unpredictable results and
synchronization failure.
How do I open digital notebooks created on a previous version of
the digital notepad?
First, locate the .NBK files on your computer. To open them in
the navigation panel, select File > Open Other Ink Files, and
browse to the location.
If you plan to continue writing notes on that topic or subject,
copy the .NBK file to the default location for ink files:
• Windows 98: C:\Windows\All Users\Application
Data\IBM Ink Manager Pro
• Win2000: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\All
Documents\Ink Manager Pro
The open the ink file in the navigation panel using File --> Open
My Ink Files, and, if desired, add the name to the digital notepad
by renaming an existing name.
Then you can continue to mark and annotate actions, copy and
add pages from the Current Notepad, select and ink, and search
