1.5.2 Power supply capacity
Power capacity is divided into two parts, control power capacity and motor power capacity.
Power supply to each unit should be input from the 24V power supply connector on the EC
gateway unit.
The necessary power capacity is calculated from adding the "total control power capacity of the
unit in use" and the "total motor power capacity of the connected actuator".
It is necessary that the rated current of the 24V power supply satisfies the rated current of the
motor power capacity and the peak current satisfies the maximum current of the motor power
capacity. However, when multiple axes are connected, provided that not all of the actuators'
operation timing is the same, the resulting value is not a simple total, because the rated
current/maximum current do not flow simultaneously.
