Battery Settings

Battery parameter settings are critical to battery maintenance, battery lifespan, and UPS
discharge time. When you set battery parameters, note the following:



Battery string sharing

is unavailable when

Single/Parallel

is set to

Single

.



Battery string sharing

affects the estimation of the actual charge current and discharge

time. An incorrect setting causes a high or low charge current, which easily damages the
batteries. An incorrect estimated discharge time may cause a data backup failure.



When you set parameters, ensure the following:

A cell consists of electrodes and electrolyte and is the basic unit of a battery. Each cell has
a nominal voltage of 2 V. A battery is a module consisting of a single cell or multiple cells
assembled in a shell. Each battery has a nominal voltage of 2 V, 6 V, or 12 V.
