Remove the server cover and look inside the server for lit LEDs. Certain components
inside the server have LEDs that will be lit to indicate the location of a problem. For
example, a microprocessor error will light the LED next to the failing microprocessor on
the microprocessor board.

The following illustration shows the LEDs on the microprocessor board.

NOTE

a. You must remove the memory card or memory card filler from memory card connector 7 before you
can see the microprocessor board error LED.

b. You must remove the top cover bracket before you can see the microprocessor error LEDs 1-4.
