o. Check that the instrument down ranges to the -25dBm Range with no input signal.

p. Press the INSTRUMENT PRESET key of the 3585A.

q. Connect an Ohmmeter to the 500 input. Ground lead to the outer shell of the 500 in

put connector and the ohms lead to the cent er pin of the input connector.

r. The Ohmmeter should now read 500 ± 20.

s. Press the I MO Impedance key. This action terminat(�s the input with a 500 load.

t. The Ohmmeter should now read 500 ± 20. (This reading should be slightly different

than the previous 500 reading.)

u. Press the 750 Impedance key on the 3585�.

v. The Ohmmeter should now read 750 ± 20.

w. Press the I MO Impedance key. This action terminates the input with a 750 load.

The Ohmmeter should now read 750 ± 20. (This reading should be slightly different

then the previous 750 reading.)
