2.3 Qualification and training or
personnel
The machine must only be operated, serviced and re-
paired by persons who are familiar with it and have been
made aware of the dangers involved. The operator is
obliged to exactly specify the area of responsibility, compe-
tence and the monitoring of personnel. This self-propelled
machine must only be driven by persons who posses an
appropriate driving licence. If the personnel does not have
appropriate knowledge, it must be trained and instructed
accordingly. A person being instructed must only work with
or on the machine under the supervision of an experienced
person.
The operator must further make sure that the personnel
has read and understood the contents of these operating
instructions.
Repair work not described in these operating instructions
must only be carried out in authorized expert workshops.

Maintenance and repair work on the machine
must only be carried out by a specialist work-
shop, if the related work has been indicated
as "Workshop work". The personnel in an
expert has the necessary knowledge and also
the appropriate utilities (tools, lifting and sup -
porting gear) for a proper and safety related
execution of all work required for mainte -
nance and repair of the machine.
2.4 Operator's workplace
The machine must solely be operated by one person
sitting on the seat of the Trac.
2.5 Danger caused by failing
to comply with the safety
regulations
Failing to comply with the safety notes can cause dan-
ger for persons, but also for the environment and the
machine. Failing to comply with the safety notes can
lead to the loss of all compensation claims.
In detail, failing to comply with the safety regulations
can lead to the following endangerments:
– Dangers for persons caused by non-secured
working areas
– Failure of important machine functions
– Failure of the prescribed methods for mainte-
nance and repair
– Endangerment of persons caused by mechanical
and chemical effects
– Dangers for the environment caused by hydraulic
oil leaks
2.6 Safety-conscious working
The safety notes listed in these operating instructions,
the existing accident prevention instructions and any
possibly listed internal instructions concerning work,
operation and safety must be strictly complied with.
Besides the safety notes in these operating instruc-
tions, the national and generally valid occupational
safety and accident prevention instructions are also
binding.
Follow the instructions for the avoidance of dangers
depicted on the warning signs.
The occupational safety and accident prevention
instructions issued by the responsible liability associa-
tion are binding.
When taking part in the traffic on public roads one
must strictly comply with the respective legal regula-
tions (in the Federal Republic of Germany the StVZO
and StVO)
Be prepared for emergencies. Always keep the first
aid kit and the warning triangle close at hand. Keep
emergency numbers for physicians and fire fighters
near the phone.
