Troubleshooting Cluster Operation
Problem:
The system fails to boot and the display is stuck at „ERS Initialization“
Cause:
Due to incorrect operation or incomplete writing processes invalid states have occurred. This
can occur, for example, if the CAN-A is not disconnected properly when switching over the device
operation. In this frozen state, the system tries to read from an incorrect EEPROM address.
Solution:
To solve the problem switch between Master/Slave/Off. After switching, an attempt is made
to restart the system automatically. In the frozen state you can switch to the mask for switching the
device operation by clicking on the Heinzinger symbol in the upper right corner. It is important that
Can-A is separated during this, since you otherwise can have two Master/Slave devices. If the ma-
chines still do not start up independently, they must be restarted in a cluster, i.e. the CAN-A is recon-
nected after reconfiguration. The cluster can only start if one machine is configured as "Master" and
one as "Slave".
