Special Safety Instructions for Troubleshooting
WARNING
Before working on the device or the application connected to it, make sure that it is de-ener-
gized; Even after switching off, there are still dangerous voltages due to residual charges
that only slowly degrade.
The device may only be opened by authorized and trained personnel.
Integrated Fuses, Phase Monitoring (optional)
The device is equipped with fuses in the intermediate circuits. If these trigger, this indicates an error
in the device. In this case, please contact the manufacturer directly.
Optionally a phase monitoring device can be integrated into ERS. In the event of faults in the mains
supply, e.g. If there is a missing phase, the unit is disconnected from the grid by means of the mains
contactor. After eliminating the cause of the error, the device must be switched on again.
Temperature Monitoring
Temperature switches are installed in the device at critical points, which lead to a safety shutdown
at T
int
> 65°C, so that no damage or hazards from overheating can occur. If the switches are triggered
an over temperature error is displayed. The cause can be an excessively high ambient temperature or
a fault in the cooling system.
Flow Rate Monitoring of Cooling Water
The cooling circuit is monitored by 5 flow sensors in the individual cooling circuits. If the flow rate is
too low due to a blockage or leakage in the cooling circuit, a safety shutdown is triggered.
The flow rates of the individual cooling circuits can be read out on the display of the PLC.
If the value flashes, the flow rate is too low. Underflows of up to 10% are tolerated for up to 10
minutes, longer or higher underflows trigger a switch-off of the ERS.
