In order to avoid negative EMC influences, the following must be
observed the shields of the connecting cables are connected over
a large area of the cable catch rail. Remove the outer insulation
of the cable until it is shortly over the grounding rail and then
turn the shield over the insulation. Provide the lower end of the
braided shield with a heat shrinkable tube to avoid fraying of the
braided shield.
Fasten the cable with a bracket clamp with metallic tub on the
grounding rail (Accessory Reference No. 1). Make sure that there
is a large area of contact between the shields and the clamps.
Protective Grounding Test
After the ERS system has been electrically connected and connected to the mains, the insulation test
must now be carried out. You need a commercially available insulation tester and must connect the
PE connection of the PE conductor test device to the PE connection (supply) of the ERS. Carry out a
zero adjustment at the beginning of the measurement so that the measurement is not falsified.
Then test the earth connections housing, frame, rails with the test probe according to the test pro-
tocol and note the measured values.
All conductive, touchable surfaces must have a protective conductor resistance of RS < 100 m
