Up to 6 of the temporary ID numbers which may be entered and printed at the top of a ticket may be
printed with a 12 character name/description from the alpha name table. The names used are those with
reference numbers 40 to 45. Name reference 40 is always printed with the first ID number, name 41
with the second and so on to name number 45 with the sixth ID. Temporary ID numbers which are
entered beyond this setting are printed without names. For example, if this setting were 4, the first 4
IDs would have accompanying names but any more IDs entered at the same time up to a maximum of
a further 5 for printing on the same ticket would be printed just as a number without a name.
Temporary ID numbers which are printed with names may not be enhanced but temporary ID numbers
which are printed without names may be enhanced. Adjustable

The GS8920 prints normal characters of 1.6mm wide in heights which may be set from 1.6mm to
3.6mm. Generally a height of 3mm gives the best appearance.

2 .4 .3 .15 Interline Spacing

The GS8920 provides a minimum normal printing interline spacing of 0.70mm. This interline spacing
may be increased in increments of 0.9mm to a maximum of 7.9mm for normal printing and 15.4mm
for double high printing. This setting shows the actual interline spacing for normal printing in
millimeters. Generally an interline spacing of 1.6mm gives the best appearance. The actual line spacing
of the printing will be the character height set in the above parameter plus this interline spacing.
Accordingly, a character height of 3mm plus an interline setting of 1.6mm would give an overall line
spacing of 4.6mm or 5.5 lines per inch for normal printing. Adjustable

the GS8920 can enhance the printed weights and/or the ID number in any 1 of 4 sizes. They may be
