1 .6 .2 .3 Gross Weight from the Indicator, Tare via Keyboard PLUS Item Entry/Pricing.
This example is similar to the preceding example in layout in that it takes the gross weight from the
digital weight indicator and the tare weight from one of 50 tare registers within the GS8920 Ticket
Printer. However, the tare weight is entered via the keyboard at the selection of the tare register instead
of being entered at some earlier time. The net weight is computed by the GS8920 Ticket Printer and a
ticket is printed.
In addition, the GS8920’s Item Entry facility is active and so the number of items as well as the price
per unit weight were entered.
The weights, quantities and prices are added to the active accumulator.
The
AC+
key has been operated. Prior to keying
AC +
, the accumulator number 3 was selected using
the key
AC
. In addition, driver and truck IDs were entered but no change was made in the permanent
ID number. A tare register was selected following the
TARE
key and a tare weight was then entered
using the GS8920’s keyboard. The quantity and price was entered following the
AC+
key.

Refer preceding ticket for a description of the features not
described here.
The “weight” will AUTOMATICALLY be the NET weight if
the Gross, Tare and Net are printed OR it will be the GROSS
weight if only the gross weight is printed.
The weight “each” will AUTOMATICALLY be printed and
calculated to the greatest accuracy by the GS8920 which will
use the greatest number of decimal places as set for the average
weight on set up of the GS8920 or as included in the weight
obtained from the weight indicator.
The currency units, in this case “$”, are selected on installation
of the GS8920.
The GS8920 AUTOMATICALLY inserts the weight units, in
this case “kg’ into the weight lines and into the price per unit
weight line, in this case ”$/kg".
The weight, the quantity and the total price are all added to the
selected accumulator ( Ac03 ), and to the Security Register for
later printing of summary totals.
