Chapter 7
Accessing the PXG200E
Using a USB Connection
It is recommended that you use the USB connection only for initial device
configuration and validation of the PXG200E.
Use this procedure to connect the PXG200E USB port to a USB port on your
Windows computer and login.
Note that you can also login to the PXG200E by using the Ethernet LAN port
on the PXG200E. Refer to
Using an Ethernet LAN Connection on
for details.
Requirements
To configure the PXG200E using the USB port you must have:
•
A 32 or 64 bit, PC-compatible, computer
•
A USB AB cable
•
USB driver files (contained on the PXG200E CD-ROM that came with the
unit)
Procedure
1.
Connect one end of a USB AB cable to the PXG200E USB port
and the other end to an available USB port on your
computer.

If you get the “Found New Hardware” dialog box shown in
you
must
install the PXG200E USB drivers using the procedure in
Driver Installation on page 155
.

After you connect both ends of the USB AB cable, and the USB driver is
installed, wait at least two minutes for the PXG200E to be properly
recognized by your computer.
