Chapter 5

PXG200E Theory of Operation

This section explains how the PXG200E works and provides information that
will help you configure, install and integrate the product successfully.

The PXG200E allows you to access and view data from multiple devices on a
mix of downstream industrial networks via multiple clients on an Ethernet
Local Area Network (LAN). Supported industrial network protocols include
INCOM and Modbus RTU. The PXG200E is capable of supporting INCOM
and Modbus RTU devices. This provides the ability to communicate with
Eaton and third party equipment using one PXG200E. A typical Power Xpert
system, incorporating Power Xpert Gateways, is shown in
