Device Events
Downstream devices often report key operating status information that
warrants immediate attention. The PXG200E identifies a set of key status
values for each device and generates “Events” in response to changes in
these status values. An example of a device event is a loss of voltage on a
meter.
Events are time stamped and displayed prominently on the home page of
the PXG200E. The PXG200E provides the option for a user to acknowledge
the event, retains the time that the acknowledgement occurred and reports
this in the event log. It is also possible to add a Note at the time of
acknowledgement that will also be reported in the event log. Acknowledging
an event does not close it. An acknowledged event will still display on the
home page. Closing the event will remove it from the home page display.
In addition to displaying events on its home page, the PXG200E reports
events to the Power Xpert Software. These events will then be integrated
with those from across the power system, providing unified enterprise level
event management.
Please refer to the device data map at
www.eaton.com/pxg
for the list of
events that are supported by each device.
