Install the Printer

Set Up the Host PC for Printer Sharing, Windows XP, 32-bit

Install the printer on the host PC.

See

“Network Installation using the Installation CD”

See

“Network Installation using a downloaded driver”

Set Simple File Sharing:

Open Windows Explorer.

Click the Tools menu and select
Folder Options…

Click on the View tab and scroll
down to bottom of the Advanced
settings list. Check the Use simple
file sharing (Recommended)
checkbox.

Enable printer sharing:

From the Windows Start menu, choose

Settings> Printers and Faxes

. The

Printers window opens.

Right-click on the printer and select

Properties

. The Printing Properties

window opens.

Click on the Sharing tab.

Click

If you understand the risks but wnat to share printers without running the

wizard, click here.

Click

Just enable Printer Sharing

in the Enable Printer Sharing dialog box

and click OK.
