Routine Care
4. On completion of the cleaning procedure:
a. If needed, reinstall the centrifuge plate. Secure the plate to the spindle
with cap screws and torque to approximately 20 inch-pounds.
b. Reinstall the springs over each corresponding dowel pin.
c. Place the spring plate on the springs and rock/rotate the spring plate until
the springs position into the holes on the underside of the spring plate.
d. Place the adaptor top over the spring plates.
e. Insert two screws opposite each other and alternately tighten the two (2)
screws about 5 turns each time until both screws are hand tight.
f. Alternately install the remaining 4 screws in order until hand tight.
g. Torque all screws to 20 inch-pounds following the same alternating pattern.
h. Press down on the spring plate. It should immediately spring back.
1. Remove the pump rotor from the rotor housing by pushing down and turning
the rotor counter-clockwise.
2. Wipe and rinse the pump rotor to remove any foreign debris and fluids.
3. Using a sponge rinsed in mild detergent, disinfectant or a 15:1 water to bleach
solution, absorb any excess fluids that have accumulated in the pump well and
wipe clean with a soft, clean cloth.
4. Reinstall the pump into the rotor housing by pushing down and turning the
rotor clockwise.
