6 - START-UP
6.7 - Controlling the level of CO2 and
any adjustments
The appliance in normal operating mode, and for altitudes
up to 1000 m, has a level of CO2 (carbon dioxide) in the flue
gas, as shown in the table in section 9.
1. - Power up the appliance and open the gas supply;
2. - Switch on the appliance;
3. - Connect a combustion analyser to the appropriate point
on the flue exhaust fitting “B” (Figure 47);
4. - Make sure that any valve and thermostatic valves after
the central heating circuit are open;
5. - Access the “installer” profile (section 7.16);
6. - Set parameter
0200
to
HI
;
7. - Now the burner will operate at maximum power for 10
minutes;
a
WARNING!!! When forcing the supply
temperature, it automatically goes to 93°C to dispose
of as much of the heat generated by the appliance
as possible. Check that the central heating system
can support this temperature. If during forcing, the
power supplied by the appliance is much higher than
the power absorbed by the system, the appliance
switches off continuously to reach the maximum
temperature allowed (93°C). To overcome this
problem, it is necessary to set the heating power,
to the actual need of the system, as dictated in the
chapter 6.8.
8. - Wait for the CO2 measurement to stabilise;
9. - Compare the value measured with “CO2 maximum
power” that given in the table in figure 45;
10. - If the value measured differs from the value read, it
must be brought back to within the value given in the
table of Figure 45 , proceeding as follows:
- Turn screw “A” clockwise (Figure 48), to decrease
the level of CO2;
- Turn screw “A” anti-clockwise (Figure 48), to increase
the level of CO2;
11. - Once the check has been completed, seal,with red
paint or a similar method, the screw “A” (Figure 48);
12. - Access the “installer” profile (section 7.16);
13. - Set parameter
0200
