9.8.14D VERIFICA DELL’ALLUNGAMEN-
TO DA USURA
Anche se la lubrificazione viene eseguita in manie-
ra ottimale, è impossibile impedire che la catena
si allunghi nel corso degli anni, principalmente a
causa dell’usura.
Quando la catena raggiunge un allungamento del
2% rispetto alla lunghezza nominale (catena nuo-
va), allora essa deve essere sostituita con una nuo-
va poichè viene considerata non sicura.
Un allungamento del 2% corrisponde ad un aumen-
to di 20 mm per ogni metro di lunghezza.
Verificare l’allungamento da usura della
catena almeno ogni 50 ore o ogni settimana.
Metodo di verifica dell’allungamento:
Per procedere alla misurazione dell’allungamento
da usura, posizionare il mast in verticale e portare
il carrello porta testa in prossimità del finecorsa in-
feriore, senza appoggiarlo (Fig.23A).
Misurare la lunghezza di un singolo passo (Fig.23B
lunghezza P) e confrontarlo con le misure riportate
nella tabella seguente, per identificare il tipo di ca-
tena installato.
ATTENZIONE ! Se la misura del sin
golo passo non rientra in una delle
tipologie di catena riportate nella seguente
tabella procedere alla sostituzione della
catena.
A partire da una distanza compresa tra 700 e 1000
mm dalla parte superiore del carrello,
prendere in
considerazione un tratto di catena formato da 20
passi
(un passo = distanza tra due perni consecuti-
vi)
e misurarne la lunghezza dal bordo inferiore di
due perni
(Fig.23B).
Se la lunghezza misurata dei 20 passi supera o
eguaglia la lunghezza limite riportata in tabella so-
stituire la catena con una nuova.
9.8.14D CHECK THE STRETCHING BY
WEAR
Even if an optimal lubrication has made, it is
impossible to avoid the stretching of the chain
during the years, mainly due to wear.
When the chain reaches a lengthening (stretching)
of 2% compared to the nominal length (new chain),
then it must to be replaced with a new chain
because it is considered unsafe.
A lengthening of 2% corresponds to an increase of
20 mm per meter of length.
Check the stretching by wear of the chain
at least every 50 hours or every week.
-Method of verification:
To measure the stretching by wear, it is necessary
to put the mast in vertical position and place the
head carriage near the lower end stroke, without
setting down (Fig.23A).
Measure the length of a single step (Fig.23 B P length)
and compare it with the measurements reported
in the following table, to identify the installed type
of chain.
WARNING ! If the single step size
does not fit in one of the chain types
in the following table to replace the chain.
From a distance of between 700 and 1000 mm from
the top of the carriage,
consider a piece of chain
made by 20 pitches
(one pitch = distance between
two consecutive pins)
and measure the length
between the lower side of the two pins
(Fig.23B).
If the measured length of 20 steps exceeds it’s the
same with the length limit reported in the table
replace the chain with a new one.
